The Friends of the School (FOS) is a group of dedicated parents who provide assistance with school fundraisers, support for events and social networking. The main fundraising events each year are the Fishing Competition (March), and Livestock Day (October).
Throughout the year parents are also encouraged to assist with the Chicken Sheds fundraiser which involves unloading day-old chickens into sheds, this is a great opportunity to meet people in the community whilst helping the school raise funds for the children.
The FOS supported the school with new uniforms, contributed funds towards a new administration block, BBQ and technology in the classrooms.
As always it is about “He Tangata” – the people.
